Faerie Necklace with Scrollwork, Accent Stones with Beads or Chain

A beautiful faerie creeps along a branch in a woodland setting, alert and watching for any unseen danger or mischief that may be near, the title is "Come What May". The faerie and branches are set in a frame, giving it a geometrical feel, the hard edges are softened by the scrollwork design on the top corners and at the bottom of the square.

The faerie necklace features 3 accent stones - two 8mm stones at the top and a 6mm on the bottom . There are 3 necklaces to choose from, one with an attached chain, the two other options feature a triple strand of beads.

Black Spinel w Chain is the fae necklace with the attached chain is set with two 8mm Black Spinel's and a 6mm Rainbow Moonstone on the bottom.

Labradorite w Beads, has two Labradorites and a 6mm Rainbow Moonstone on the bottom. The triple strand of attached beads are an assortment of Labradorite, Moonstone and Black Onyx.

Semi Precious w Beads features an 8mm Garnet on the left, an Amethyst on the right and a 6mm Peridot on the bottom. The triple strand of beads include Garnet, Amethyst, Citrine, and Peridot. If there is a different stone or bead selection that you prefer please let me know and I'll see if I can get the stone assortment you desire.

The framed area of the silver fantasy necklace is 1 3/8 inches square, while the overall size of the silver casting is 2 5/8 inches wide and 2 3/8 inches tall. These magical necklaces are all adjustable, with it's shortest length being 16 inches and the longest 22 inches, and can be worn at any length in between making this magical piece wonderful for a variety of necklines and body types. A dark patina has been applied then mostly removed to enhance the detail and give contrast to this magical piece of fantasy jewelry. The angled and side views of the silver faerie necklace shows the dimension of the piece.

The idea for this pendant came from my own original drawing of a faerie creeping down a branch in a woodland setting, she is scanning the trees and sky for any unseen danger. After that drawing had been completed I decided to scale it down and do a jewelry version of the same design. I then begin to sculpt everything in wax, first by using carving wax for the outside frame, then carefully sculpting the general form of the faerie and primary branch, overlaying it with detail of wings, facial features, hair and bark and finally mounting it all together. I've included photographs of both my drawing and the faerie as it appeared in wax before casting. After the wax sculpture is complete it is cast in sterling silver, excess metal is removed, rough polished, and patina applied and stones set. It is a time consuming process, but one that I thoroughly enjoy. For more detailed information on my wax sculpting and casting process go to www.mystcswan.biz and look at the "Creation Process" and "Wax Sculpting" sections.

Let this rare and magical faerie watch out for you as you go through your day.
